As part of its Human Rights project titled “Growing Capacity for Elevating Trinidad & Tobago to International Human Rights Standards” the Faculty of Law held its final public session on LGBTI rights on Thursday September 28th 20187 from 6-8pm. Titled “Towards Sexual equality: Dismantling Discrimination in Laws and Practices” the session featured Ms. Tracy Robinson, a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, UWI Mona and co-founder and co-coordinator of the Faculty of Law UWI Rights Advocacy Project (U-RAP). Known for her research interests in gender, sexuality, constitutionalism and human rights, the discussion attracted a wide cross section of individuals who saw this as a forum to express their concerns for their development of the law in this area. Needless to say the forum was well attended and steamed live via the UWI Ustream forum.
