Humanities and Education presents a three-
day Conference on Public Health and Society
in Latin America and the Caribbean. The
conference is hosted by The UWI St. Augustine
in collaboration with the University of York and
Casa de Oswaldo Cruz/Fiocruz, Brazil.
UWI Chancellor and former Director for the
Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO),
Sir George Alleyne will be the keynote speaker.
The conference will be held at the Teaching and
Learning Complex (TLC).

TheUWI FilmProgramme commemorates their
10th anniversary with a tour around the world
in four days at the World Festival of Emerging
Cinema. Over 200 films from 52 different
countries will showcase student productions,
Caribbean and international filmmakers.
Students will get a chance to learn and network
with industry insiders and the general public
is invited to view premiere films not shown in
mainstream theatres.
