About the Management Studies Alumni

The Department of Management Studies is in the process of strengthening our alumni relations. We invite all graduates to complete the Alumni Form so that we can strengthen our ties with you through continued collaboration. We hope to move forward in a spirit of community and continuous learning and to provide service beyond measure to the university, national and regional community.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Alumni Executive Committee

As the DMS Alumni formalizes itself, you may wish to contribute to the overall management of the affairs of the Alumni. As a member of the executive alumni team you will build relations with your other executives and alumni members, you will be expected to engage in collaboration with the DMS staff and you will have the opportunity to assist in development of the Alumni and the Department of Management Studies.

Mentor Programmes

As a part of the alumni initiative, the DMS plans to revitalize and strengthen the contact between our alumni in industry and our students. The mentorship programme will be aimed at giving the students an additional avenue for business exposure through the involvement of the student/mentee in the career life of the mentor. The sharing of experiences have been shown to be beneficial for both parties.

Workshops

Workshops/Seminars and Special Guest Lecturer are a traditional means for the fostering of relations among the Department, our alumni and business partners and our students. As we continue this trend you are welcome to volunteer your expertise. Sessions are sometimes planned and coordinated by the members of the Management Society of the University of the West Indies (MSU). Topics may be academic related, career focused or on general skills improvement, such as time management, stress management and image enhancement.

If you are interested in these and any other volunteer opportunities please complete and submit the Alumni Form. We will make contact with you thereafter. You may also initialize contact with the Department’s Secretary.
