UWI Fete 2012… Zangalewa
It’s time for Africa

Zangaléwa is a 1986 hit song, originally sung by a makossa group from Cameroon called Golden Sounds who were beloved throughout the continent for their dances and costumes. The song was such a hit for Golden Sounds that they eventually changed their name to Zangaléwa, too.

After  journeying through Europe, China and India we invite you to meet us in Zangaléwa, a mythical African Island that’s waiting to be discovered.

Come by sea, come by land, come by air, come hand in hand. (Thanks Ziggy)
It's exotic, graceful, exciting and unspoilt.
