Trinidad and Tobago is a signatory to both the UNFCC and the Paris Climate Change Accord and is committed to reducing the impact of development on global warming and greenhouse gas emissions.  Land transportation is a major contributor to this country’s carbon footprint.  The government of Trinidad & Tobago has over the last decade attempted to fulfil its commitment to moving towards more sustainable transport through a number of initiatives.  These have had only very limited impact on the situation.  The seminar explores different perspectives on how this impact can be improved and suggests areas where new initiatives and emphasis should be placed – especially in the areas of digitization and e-mobility.
