About the Examinations Section

The Examinations Section, within the Campus Registry, plays a vital role in supporting the University’s academic operations and student lifecycle. We are responsible for the administration and coordination of examination and graduation processes, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery of academic records and services.

Our key responsibilities include:

    • Administering University policies, regulations, and procedures related to examinations and assessment matters.
    • Coordinating the planning, logistics, and delivery of examinations.
    • Processing and publishing examination results.
    • Supporting annual Graduation Ceremonies, including the presentation of graduates.
    • Issuing official academic transcripts and degree certificates.
    • Managing the distribution and control of academic gowns.
    • Maintaining and updating student academic records and graduation data.
    • Processing academic status changes, including Required to Withdraw (RTW) records.
    • Managing course component information and examiner assignments.
    • Monitoring the submission and completion of examination marks.
    • Supporting Boards of Examiners and implementing approved academic decisions.
    • Resolving examination and timetabling-related queries.

Through these services, the Examinations Section is committed to delivering efficient, reliable, and student-focused support to the University community.

Language of Instruction

The Language of instruction at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus is English.

Office Hours are as follows:

Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays or Campus closures)
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
