Programme Overview
The BSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics is a specialised programme that focuses on the science of nutrition and its impact on human health. This comprehensive programme combines coursework in biology, chemistry, physiology, and nutrition science to provide you with a strong foundation in understanding the role of diet in promoting health and preventing disease. You will learn about the principles of nutrition, food composition, metabolism, and the relationship between diet and various health conditions. This programme also emphasises communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to prepare you for careers in nutrition and human health.

Programme Breakdown
The requirements for the BSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics are 94 credits of core courses plus 6 credits of electives from the approved list, as well as 6 credits of Foundation courses (FOUN 1101 OR FOUN 1301 AND FOUN 1105) AND a 3 credits Foreign Language requirement (Total credits 109).

Entry Requirements
To enter into this programme, you must possess one of the following:
- UWI Certificate in Human Ecology

Passes in ANY two (2) 2-unit CAPE courses or two GCE A-level subjects and at least five (5) subjects at CSEC General Proficiency (Grade I-III), or their equivalents, which include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Human and Social Biology or Integrated Science
- An approved Associate Degree with a minimum GPA of 2.55 or any other equivalent qualification.
