Programme Overview
Students could pursue research degrees on topics of interests related to the supply of safe and wholesome food to consumers globally, food safety and quality management systems which address the farm to fork approach, good governance and national control, legislation and private standards, management of food safety and quality within the supply chain, control of food-related risks using biotechnology tools, food microbiology, research, education, and outreach activities necessary for effectively reducing foodborne illness
Entry Requirements
To enter into this programme, you must possess one of the following:
- A graduate of an approved university with a graduate degree awarded primarily for research
- A taught Masters degree from the UWI or another approved University, provided that the Masters programme included a research component of at least 25% of the total credit rating and the applicant achieved at least a B+ average or its equivalent
- Approval of upgrade application from MPhil studies
- Other such qualifications and experience as the Board for Graduate Studies and Research may approve
