Why study Hindi?

Hindi is one of the world’s most widely spoken languages, connecting you to the people, culture, and traditions of India and Hindi-speaking communities around the globe. Whether you’re learning for travel, business, personal enrichment, or to communicate with family and friends, studying Hindi opens the door to meaningful cultural experiences and new opportunities.

At the Centre for Language Learning, our Hindi courses are designed specifically for adult learners, providing a supportive and interactive environment where you can develop practical communication skills from your very first class. As you build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, you’ll also gain a deeper appreciation of India’s rich heritage, vibrant arts, and global influence. Discover a language that broadens your horizons and helps you connect with one of the world’s most dynamic cultures.

Schedule

There are 52-contact hours per semester. Classes meet for four 50-minute sessions per week, with classes beginning on the hour and ending ten minutes before the hour (e.g. 11:00 to 11:50). However, class contact time should be supplemented by two hours of independent study for each contact hour.
