Dr. Zhanna Dedovets was born in Russia. She began her teaching career at the secondary level before moving on to the tertiary level. She has worked as both a lecturer and Head of Department of Mathematics at St. Petersburg University. Her research interests include the Teaching of Mathematics at school, with special emphasis on the theoretical and practical aspects of using logic problems, actualization of motivational actions of students’ educationally - search activity during the mathematical problems solving and dynamic peculiarities of the establishment of pupils' valuable attitude towards mathematical demonstration and their application in school. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family, music, culture of other countries, knitting, tennis, and swimming.
