Dr. Chandra Shekhar Bhatnagar is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the UWI since 2007. In an academic career of nearly twenty-five years, he has used a multi-pronged approach to mentor students, both face-to-face and distance mode. In Trinidad and Tobago, he has taught at numerous venues including the Department of Management Studies, UWI, UWI ROYTEC and Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. In recognition of his teaching philosophy and methods, Dr. Bhatnagar received the prestigious UWI-Guardian Life Premium Teaching Award of 2016. A doctorate from Punjabi University in India, Dr. Bhatnagar has published in various journals including the Global Finance Journal, the International Finance Journal, Journal of Business and Economic studies, Research in International Business and Finance, the International Journal of Business. His other professional activities include, but not limited to, university representation at Board meetings of the Institute of Banking and Finance, Trinidad and Tobago, course material writing, revision and delivery for the Open Campus at UWI, research supervision, participation in corporate investment committees and program evaluation for accreditation by Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Bhatnagar was also an advisory mentor in the Queen’s Young Leaders Programme, which is a partnership between the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, Comic Relief, the Royal Commonwealth Society and the University of Cambridge's Institute for Continuing Education.
