With just over one week remaining, we are pleased to invite you to a special engagement with the SubOptic Foundation as part of their Multi-Campus Visit.

Friday, April 10, 2026 At  2:00 PM location ENG 101, Faculty of Engineering.  See the preregistration link https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=KupABOviREat2LyPNxBbYSsyFaTpDrdKvVPaZyxA-J1UNVI4RkQyWFBDTlhYU1JBM1lFNkMxOTJLUy4u

This visit aims to raise awareness and generate interest in the Resilient Global Digital Infrastructure (GDI) Fellowship—a unique regional initiative focused on strengthening digital resilience across the Caribbean.

The Fellowship is designed to build a Caribbean-wide, train-the-trainers network of emerging leaders, equipping participants with the skills to translate subsea cable resilience research into practical, locally grounded action—before, during, and after disruptions.

Participants will benefit from a 12-week online educational and mentorship programme, fostering collaboration, innovation, and leadership development within a close-knit learning community. This programme builds on the Foundation’s successful Youth Advisory Board model.

Successful participants will also be invited to a culminating in-person workshop, where they will refine and apply their learning within their respective national and regional contexts.

Programme Period: May 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

We encourage you to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to be among 40 selected participants from across the region who will become GDI Resilience Fellows.

This opportunity is open to:

  • UWI students
  • Faculty and staff
  • Recent graduates
  • Alumni

We warmly invite you to attend, learn more, and take the next step toward becoming a leader in digital resilience.

Be part of shaping a more resilient Caribbean digital future.
