Dr. Rajendra Ramlogan is Professor of Commercial and Environmental Law at the University of the West Indies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies.

During his legal studies, Professor Ramlogan was the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Barbados Bar Association Prize, the Molly Reid Prize for First Place in the Law of Real Property, the Faculty Prize for Top Second Year Law Student, and the Law Society of the University of the West Indies Award for Academic Excellence. He was also named Top Final Year Law Student and was nominated for the All-Campuses Student of the Year Award.

Professor Ramlogan is currently a member of the Department of Management Studies.

 

Qualifications

  • Professor Ramlogan earned his Master of Laws in International Legal Studies from the New York University School of Law, supported by the Southern Basin Consortium Scholarship. He subsequently pursued doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and Overseas Research Student Awards. He completed a Doctorate in International Environmental Law and is a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society.
