Dr. Shah holds a Doctoral degree in International Business Studies with majors in Marketing from the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. The school is well reputed and known for its excellence especially in International Business Studies, primarily due to its Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach. It is ranked as 6th among world top Universities in “Young University Rankings” as per Times Higher Education 2021. Rashid has earned a professional qualification “Certified Professional Marketer” (CPM) Asia, by Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) Japan. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA).

Dr. Shah is enriched with over 25 years of academic and corporate experience in Asian and European markets. He has been associated with top business schools since last decade and holds a strong reputation of deploying most effective teaching pedagogy, based on market dynamics and emerging trends. Moreover, his extensive corporate exposure enhances the learning capability and learning curve of participants, as it creates a substantial relevance of concepts with business practices. His corporate profile includes industries from Banking, Automobile, Pharmaceutical, Bio- Sciences, FMCG, and Marketing Research. He had been holding top level positions in various organizations. Besides that he has been actively engaged for both public and private sector consultancies. He is academically linked with international organizations such as USAID and British Council and worked as technical advisor and external evaluator for many of their entrepreneurial and higher education initiatives in Pakistan.

Dr. Shah is quite focused on quality research, whereby he had secured grants and participated in various international research conferences, presented and published his research work in peered review journals as well. He is well known for his passion to teach and practice entrepreneurship. His entrepreneurial mind set driven by innovation, excellence, and sustainability has always created a certain urge among his students to contribute in the economy and work for societal benefits. He had mentored and nurtured creativity process of his students, resulted in 39 new startups by his students. Dr. Shah’s teaching pedagogy and keeping the participants engaged throughout the learning process, is equally liked by the executive program students. He believes in enquiring the thoughts during knowledge sharing process and ensures teaching effectiveness as well as efficiencies, at the same time. He sees humans as composition of both emotions and cognition- whereby believes strongly in emotional association, therefore he encourages learners to build trustworthy relationship for enabling smooth transfer of knowledge and experiences. Undoubtedly, Dr. Shah always liked to be standing among diversified group of participants from different backgrounds, since it is evidently witnessed as an exponential progression in the learning curve. He has been a member of different academic councils, boards, and committees throughout his academic career. His contributions are significantly acknowledged not only by his peers but also by the top management. Beside academic responsibilities, he also holds various important and challenging administrative positions that contributed significantly in the growth of academic institutes.
