Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess at minimum, a PhD from a recognized university in Management, Business or a closely related field.
Candidates should also possess:
- At least three (3) years’ teaching experience at a recognized university
- A good record of research and publications in reputable, peer reviewed journals
- Expertise in teaching at least two (2) of the following areas:
o Sustainable and Ethical Management
o Strategic Management and Leadership
o Business Analytics
o Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Candidates with the following would have an advantage:
- Postgraduate teaching experience
- Experience in course management
- Supervision of postgraduate and undergraduate students
- Demonstrated flexibility and experience in teaching various management subjects at the higher education level, especially in the core courses offered by the Department
The following would be considered assets:
- Certificate in university teaching and learning
- Experience in Corporate or Managerial settings
- Prior evidence of organization of seminars and workshops in the Management discipline
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Management
- Participating in the design and management of courses
- Developing a research programme and providing ongoing revision of the curriculum to keep abreast of development and innovation
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
- Collaborating with colleagues on Departmental activities such as outreach initiatives, research, teaching orientation and academic advising
Personal Attributes
The Campus places high priority on individuals of integrity who can work well in a team and student friendly environment. Candidates should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A good command of both oral and written English is essential. Candidates should also:
- Be able to teach in multiple modes such as Face-to-Face, online, hybrid and blended environments
- Be able to conduct day and evening classes
