Lecturer in Management Studies [REF# 60/2/3 III L1]

The successful candidate must possess at minimum, a PhD from a recognized university in Management, Business or a closely related field.

Candidates should also possess: 

• At least three (3) years’ teaching experience at a recognized university
• A good record of research and publications in reputable, peer reviewed journals
• Expertise in teaching at least two (2) of the following areas: 

           o Sustainable and Ethical Management

           o Strategic Management and Leadership

           o Business Analytics

           o Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Candidates with the following would have an advantage: 

• Postgraduate teaching experience
• Experience in course management
• Supervision of postgraduate and undergraduate students
• Demonstrated flexibility and experience in teaching various management subjects at the higher education level, especially in the core courses offered by the Department

The following would be considered assets: 

• Certificate in university teaching and learning
• Experience in Corporate or Managerial settings
• Prior evidence of organization of seminars and workshops in the Management discipline

Key Responsibilities 

• Teaching courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Management
• Participating in the design and management of courses
• Developing a research programme and providing ongoing revision of the curriculum to keep abreast of development and innovation
• Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
• Collaborating with colleagues on Departmental activities such as outreach initiatives, research, teaching orientation and academic advising

Personal Attributes

• Be able to teach in multiple modes such as Face-to-Face, online, hybrid and blended environments
