Sociology is an exciting discipline that attempts to study human social behaviour scientifically. It encourages an objective and dispassionate approach to the analysis of human social activity. Sociology can be a great area of study for those interested in pursuing careers in teaching, research, planning, demography, cultural studies and statistics. In addition, sociology majors may choose to continue in sociological research by pursuing the MPhil or PhD.
