Course Description 

This course is composed primarily of laboratory exercises which assist students to understand concepts taught in the classroom as well as introduce techniques necessary to function efficiently in a biochemistry lab. As this course builds upon those techniques studied in Practical skills in Biochemistry I students must first have taken that course. Topics covered include are DNA and RNA isolation from animal tissues and a project where the students isolate and characterize invertase from yeast.
