Noveck J. Gowandan has been a member of the University since 2009. He currently serves primarily as the eLearning Team Lead at the St. Augustine Campus, but has a diverse portfolio of supplemental roles, including  Project Manager for the Cross-Campus eLearning Committee, Consultant for various revenue generating projects (EDULINK) and prospects (TTMoE, TTDF, Petrotrin and ALJGSB), as well as serving as a Technical Advisor to various campus committees. Additionally, in 2014 he was selected for the Future Leaders Programme, an initiative out of Human Resources to coach participants for leadership roles in the University.

With an active research interest in IT Governance, the culmination of training across a wide range of Technical and Leadership/Management disciplines, he also holds the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification.

He is a proponent of Open Source Software, a seasoned Linux expert with over a decade of related experience in enterprise environments. He has been active in a number of Open Source communities, from authoring Linux/MOODLE themed tutorials on his personal website, to being an active contributor to as well as volunteering services the Linux Foundation in varying capacities. He has also mentored students in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management Studies, collaborating, reviewing and offering feedback on final year projects.
