The Chinese Bridge preliminary competition is organized by the Confucius Institute at the UWI St. Augustine Campus. The components of the competition include Chinese language proficiency, knowledge about China, Chinese cultural talent and comprehensive learning ability. Students who win the preliminary rounds held in their countries qualify to go to China for the semi-finals and finals. They will also be further rewarded with scholarships to further their studies in China.
