Welcome Home
The halls of residence have their own orientation program called Welcome Home. A part of the First Year Experience (FYE), The semester-long orientation programme, Welcome Home creates a welcoming environment to introduce students to resident life at The UWI.
The Welcome Home program offers students a hybrid of in-house face to face activities and virtual content delivery, to engage new students to the hall from pre-arrival through to the challenging first 6-8 weeks of the semester. The program provides opportunities for social bonding; delivery of content to get to know the hall; campus and key people; tools to adjust to UWI life and a tracking mechanism for the hall to ensure that all residents are receiving and understanding the content of the program.
In addition to engaging new students he Welcome home program also assist parents and guardians for new students by providing them with information to help their student transition into their new and exciting UWI journey.
Welcome Home connects residents to the wider campus, national, regional and international community, and registration information will be provided to all new students via email.
