Dave is extremely passionate about Process Control. His interests lie from basic process control such as controller tuning to advanced control such as model predictive control (MPC). He was able to implement a control strategy for noisy processes using the advanced settings in Emerson DeltaV.
Research Interests
- Autotuning of PID controllers on process unit operations
- Development of controller robustness techniques for any industry
- Evaluating plantwide control for petrochemical industries
- Application of artificial intelligence in Process Control for petrochemical industries
- Although his primary focus is Process Control, he would like to contribute to any area of chemical engineering from Process Design to Reaction Engineering.
