Sharad is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at The University of the West Indies, where he specializes in Separation Processes and Numerical Methods. He holds a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from The University of the West Indies in the area of extraction processes with special reference to the use of Steam Distillation and Supercritical Fluid Extraction to extract high value products from indigenous plant materials. He currently leads the research work of the Extraction Laboratory at The UWI.
