Dr. Shelly Singh-Gryzbon is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at The University of the West Indies. Her research expertise is in computational fluid and structural mechanics for applications in medical devices and cardiovascular flow. Her work contributes to improved understanding of the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases; design, development, and optimization of prosthetic heart valves; and surgical/pre-procedural planning. This work is multidisciplinary, bridging mathematics, physics, medical sciences and engineering fields. Prior to her joining The UWI, Dr. Singh-Gryzbon was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wallace Coulter School of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
