COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on the application of modern scientific principles for the inspection systems, based on good agricultural and manufacturing practices and the analysis of hazards and critical control points along the food chain. ISO 22000:2005 specifies requirements for a food and agriculture safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption. The course assessment comprises two assignments, laboratory practical and a final examination.
