ENGLISH LANGUAGE FOUNDATION UNIT COURSES

FACULTY AND SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS

ELFU EXT

Faculty of Humanities and Education > School of Humanities

School of Humanities (SoH) students are required to read two English Language Foundation Courses: FOUN 1001  OR FOUN 1106 (depending on the student’s pre-requisite) AND FOUN 1103 or FOUN 1104 or FOUN 1107 (depending on the student’s major).

FOUN 1103 may be read by any Humanities student except a Literatures in English (LIE) major or an English Language and Literature with Education (ELLE) major.

FOUN 1104 is compulsory for Literatures in English majors and English Language and Literature with Education majors, and highly recommended for students pursuing Spanish and French.

FOUN 1107 is compulsory for Creative and Festival Arts students.

Certificate in Music students are required to read FDMU 0005.

Faculty of Food and Agriculture students are required to read FOUN 1105.

Faculty of Law students are required to read FOUN 1103.

Faculty of Science and Technology students are required to read FOUN 1105.

Faculty of Social Sciences students are required to read FOUN 1001 or FOUN 1106 (depending on the student’s pre-requisites).
