Dr Beular Mitchell is a Lecturer - Curriculum Studies/Teacher Education - at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She attained a B.A in English; Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a M.Ed in Teacher Education from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. In addition, she completed an Ed.D in Curriculum Policy from the University of Sheffield, UK. Dr. Mitchell’s previous professional post at the Ministry of Education, Trinidad and Tobago entailed the design, development, implementation and evaluation of curricula. Her research interests include Curriculum Policy and Implementation, Education Reform and Teacher Education. She has made several presentations, the focus of which has been curriculum implementation and teacher education, at local, regional and international conferences.
