Dr. Camille Huggins is a lecturer in the Social Work Programme in the Department of Behavioural Sciences at the University of the West Indies at St. Augustine, with a PhD in Clinical Social Work. She was born and spent most of her life in New York City in the United States. She moved to Trinidad, West Indies in 2013 and became a lecturer at the University of the West Indies in 2015. During her tenure at UWI she has won monetary grants from Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, USA to establish a student exchange program. As well as, a grant from the International Association of Schools of Social Work to establish disaster preparedness programs for social work students and professionals working with clients experiencing natural or man-made disasters. She served as Deputy Dean for the Faculty of Social Sciences (2018-2019).
