Profile

Dr. Wayne S. Goodridge is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science in the Department of Computing and Information Technology at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He served as Head of Department from 2019 to 2025. His academic and professional work spans computer networking, network and computer security, systems design, digital watermarking and steganography, wireless and mobile computing, QoS routing, simulation, blockchain-based fintech systems, fake news and deepfake detection, decision-support systems, and applied software engineering. He has supervised doctoral, MPhil, and MSc research in DASH video streaming, mobile ad hoc networks, crime hotspot prediction, e-health, reversible data hiding, SDG knowledge graphs, federated digital twins, password-authentication protocols, and geospatial decision support. He has also contributed to national ICT and cybersecurity policy through engagements with the Integrated Threat Assessment Centre, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards, and industry partners. He is the author of Unlocking the Mysteries of Information Security and has published journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, preprints, and software outputs in networking, security, artificial intelligence, e-health, and software systems.
