Welcome to the Department of Life Sciences Undergraduate Programmes.
The aim of the UWI Department of Life Science programmes are to provide the highest quality of education at the undergraduate level to students from the region, with an emphasis on the provision of knowledge and the development of appropriate subject-based skills. The programmes have been developed with respect to benchmarking learning outcomes, level of knowledge and understanding, student skills, and methods of assessment.

Note the following;
The credit requirements of certain additional majors may be higher than specified above. Students pursuing the major in Biochemistry are required to complete all 30 credits of core courses, typically over the 2nd and 3rd years of the degree programme.
