The UWI St Augustine Campus signed a Research and Innovation Partnership Agreement with the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce on July 31st, 2025. This significant agreement intends to enhance national development by promoting collaborative research, structured knowledge sharing and innovation.
The recent signing at the end of June marks an important move toward closer collaboration between the academic community and the business sector—two key players in driving innovation that have often operated separately. The aim of the agreement is to bridge the divide between academia and business, encouraging meaningful partnerships that transition from collaboratively designed research to practical enterprise development.
