Biophyt 1.0

Biophyt 1.0 – A Green Biocontrol Solution

Overview

Biophyt 1.0 is an all‑organic, non‑toxic biocontrol solution developed by Professor Duraisamy Saravanakumar and Dr Augustus Thomas of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Sustainability, formerly the Faculty of Food and Agriculture. It offers farmers a safe and effective alternative to synthetic chemical pesticides.

This innovative product not only combats a range of plant diseases—including root rot, collar rot, wilt, leaf spot, and leaf blight—but it also serves as a powerful growth stimulant. By enhancing crop yield and bolstering plant immunity, Biophyt 1.0 will empower farmers to achieve robust, healthy harvests without compromising the environment or using harmful pesticides.

Furthermore, with no known hazards to human, animal, or aquatic life, it represents a safe, responsible choice for the future of agriculture.

Proven Impact

Field trials and farmer use demonstrate:

  • Up to 87% reduction in plant disease
  • Yield increases up to ~40%
  • Performance comparable—or superior—to chemical pesticides
  • No known hazards to humans, animals, or aquatic life

Biophyt 1.0 also stimulates plant growth and enhances natural immunity.
