‘Buy Local, Build Trinbago’ Campaign

The dynamic partnership between The UWI St Augustine Campus and the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism continued during the Ministry’s ‘Buy Local, Build Trinbago’ Campaign, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad on Friday, January 16, 2026. The Ministry extended a special invitation to the Campus Principal to showcase the Campus’s UWIMade Products at the campaign’s launch. The initiative aims to promote the use of locally made products and services, thereby boosting demand and enhancing the competitiveness of local businesses across Trinidad and Tobago. The Campus proudly displayed a range of innovative offerings, including sealants and coatings from SEAL-It Ltd, plant nutrients and extracts from Biophyt 1.0, high-quality milk sourced from the University Field Station, and SPIRIT chocolate, all contributing to this important national initiative.
