In collaboration with the British High Commission in Port of Spain and EY (formerly Ernst & Young), The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus held a workshop on the United Kingdom’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on Tuesday, 18 March 2025. The workshop discussed the implications of CBAM on Trinidad and Tobago’s industries, policymakers, and business leaders, providing critical insights into how CBAM will affect Trinidad and Tobago’s industries and exploring strategic responses to mitigate risks and leverage emerging opportunities. The workshop was a follow-up to a Border Carbon Adjustments project spearheaded by the Office of the Campus Principal.
