As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations, The UWI St Augustine held its Inaugural Panel Discussion: Reflections on the Legacy of Eric Williams, under the patronage of Mr Robert Bermudez, Chancellor of The UWI. The Panel Discussion was held at the Eric Williams Memorial Library in Port of Spain on September 28th, 2023. This Panel Discussion was part of the Campus Principal, Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine’s mandate to take the university out of St. Augustine and into communities. The discussion, “Reflections on the Legacy of Eric Williams: Business and Development,” was moderated by Professor Rhoda Reddock, Professor Emerita Gender, Social Change and Development, who was joined by an esteemed panel: Professor Bridget Brereton, Chancellor Bermudez, Dr David Muhammad, Mr Gregory Aboud, Mrs Marina Salandy-Brown, Dr Aakeil Murray, Mr Nirad Tewarie, and Ms Diane Seukeran.
