The UWI St Augustine formalised a partnership with the National Flour Mills on 29 October 2024 as part of its commitment to address food security and nutritional resilience in the country and region. The MoU detailed a comprehensive framework for collaboration in professional education, research and development, innovation, and entrepreneurship between NFM and The UWI St Augustine Campus. The partnership will entail research on animal feed from agricultural by-products, develop training programmes in human and animal nutrition, and create opportunities for internships and commercialisation of research findings.
