Stakeholder Workshop Explores Carbon Pricing Feasibility in Trinidad and Tobago

The Campus partnered with the British High Commission to host a Stakeholder Validation Workshop on June 15th at the Office of the Campus Principal. The workshop focused on the “Feasibility Assessment of National Carbon Pricing Policies in Trinidad and Tobago,” building on previous engagements by the OCP.

Professor Preeya Mohan from the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies presented a draft report outlining opportunities for a domestic carbon pricing framework that maintains local economic value and supports national goals.

His Excellency Jon Mark Dean, the UK High Commissioner, attended along with industry leaders, civil society members, and academics, who provided valuable feedback on sector readiness, economic impacts, and policy gaps.
