The UN recently celebrated its 80th anniversary in partnership with the St Augustine Campus by hosting a half-day conference on October 27th, 2025, at the School of Education Auditorium. The theme, “UN80: From Legacy to Future: Renewing Multilateralism in a Changing World,” set the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking event.
The Fireside Chat, skilfully moderated by Dr Georgina Chami from the Institute for International Relations (IIR), along with insightful panel discussions led by Professor Winston Dookeran, Professor of Practice, provided valuable perspectives on pressing global issues. A standout moment was hearing students deliver lightning talks, showcasing their confidence and creativity in discussing global challenges and potential solutions.
