Course Description 

This course is composed primarily of laboratory exercises which assist students to understand concepts taught in the classroom as well as introduce techniques necessary to function efficiently in a biochemistry lab. Topics covered include: Instrumentation and safety in the biochemistry laboratory; pH and buffers; proteins and amino acids; the Hill Reaction; measurement of arginase activity; assay of tissue glycogen.
