- Marine plastic pollution (SIDS, Caribbean, Atlantic, Arctic Oceans)
- Anthropogenic threats posed to coastal and marine ecosystems
- Chemical contaminants in wetland ecosystems (e.g. metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)
- Knowledge, attitudes and practice surveys in relation to current environmental issues
