The Aedes Aegypti mosquito and the spread of Dengue Fever
Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral illness common in tropical and subtropical regions. It is caused by the dengue virus, which is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. In severe cases, dengue fever can be life-threatening. Prevention focuses on avoiding mosquito bites through measures like using insect repellent, wearing protective clothing, and eliminating stagnant water where mosquitoes breed.
