Social Security Webinar

The Committee for Caribbean Research on Social Security (CCROSS) Webinar Series

The Committee for Caribbean Research on Social Security (CCROSS) held its inaugural meeting on 15th August 2023. CCROSS is a collaboration of representatives of academic, private sector, national, regional, and international social security organizations and researchers committed to share ideas and work closely together to find solutions to the sustainability and viability of our social protection systems. While the current chair of CCROSS resides in the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), the Secretariat is housed at the HEU, Centre for Health Economics, The University of the West Indies.

The broad objectives of CCROSS are to develop a regional targeted research agenda for social security to support policy action; conduct relevant and meaningful research as guided by defined research agenda; develop databases of existing research, facilitate greater regional collaboration, dialogue and engagement to engender policy action; and to establish a platform to disseminate research and knowledge products on social security.  As CCROSS engages in its webinar series and executes its research agenda, its target audience includes professionals in the fields of social security; health; labour and finance; employers' associations; trade unions; local, regional and international social security organizations; academic institutions; and in-school youths.

This webinar is the second, in a webinar series entitled: “Social Security in the Caribbean: Facing Challenges and Building Resilience”.
