As an information technology student working in a mainly computer science environment, I was exposed to various new technologies, methodologies and programming skills. I also experienced first-hand how hectic and at times, confusing a project can be, and after being exposed to this kind of environment, I am more prepared to deal with any fluctuations in a project.
I would also pay homage to the team that I worked with, because as a fresh intern in a very hectic working atmosphere, it would’ve been very easy to lose my way and decided I could not continue the programme, but this internship has allowed me to create and grow new friendships and bonds where information and new skills were shared mutually.
My experience has taught me how to work cohesively within a group of individuals with varying and sometimes clashing personalities.
It has overall allowed me to grow as an individual as well, not only in gaining skills, but also becoming more confident in what I think, what I say and what I do.
