Cockroaches and termites have only recently been joined together in the order Blattodea, with molecular information showing their close relationship. Both groups are well known due to their impact on human activities.

Trinidad & Tobago Blattodea

The termites of T&T are well known and research on them dates back to the eary 1900s. The cockroaches are fairly well documented as well with L. Bruner's 1906 paper reporting 26 species, More  work is needed to update the species lists for this group.
