Research & Post Graduate Programmes
The School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) occupies an ideal location for the study of Tropical Veterinary Medicine.
Full-time programmes extend for at least 21 months for the Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and at least 36 months for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Research laboratories are supplied with state-of-the-art equipment, and our research focus includes the development of new methods of diagnosis of foodborne diseases, food safety and biosecurity.
As a postgraduate student in the School of Veterinary Medicine, it is possible to do:
- basic science research
- applied science research, or
- clinical research.
We also have a multinational faculty available to work with you, and guide you through your chosen area.
