Dr. Anthony Ademola Adeyanju is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Affairs) in the Faculty of Engineering at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UWI in 2012 and has over twenty-five years of combined experience in academia, industry, research, and university administration, with expertise in mechanical engineering and sustainable energy systems.

Prior to joining UWI in 2016, Dr. Adeyanju held several academic positions at Ekiti State University, Nigeria, where he progressed to the rank of Senior Lecturer. Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and professional service.

His industrial experience includes appointments at the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), as well as Concord Airlines and Gas Airlines in Nigeria. These roles provided him with extensive practical experience in power generation systems, petrochemical processing, mechanical maintenance, and aircraft engineering.

Dr. Adeyanju has established a strong international research profile, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and scholarly book chapters. His research contributions span renewable energy technologies, thermal-fluid systems, energy storage, refrigeration and air-conditioning, biomass conversion, waste-to-energy technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions. His scholarly achievements have been recognized through several awards, including the UWI–NGC Most Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award (2011/2012).

In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Adeyanju has supervised over 150 undergraduate engineering projects and postgraduate research projects. He continues to contribute actively to academic leadership, curriculum development, postgraduate education, research administration, and professional engineering organizations.

Dr. Adeyanju is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a member of the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE), and a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also an Academic Member of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER), Greece, and a Senior Member of the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES).
