Dr. Cilla T. Pemberton has considerable experience in manufacturing and business development inclusive of successfully managing the competitiveness building component of a European Development Fund programme within the manufacturing, construction, industrial services and tourism sectors of Trinidad and Tobago. She is a Certified Lean Enterprise Master Practitioner (Norcross, 2008) and has special training in Business Development Services/Facilitation (Brussels 2004 & Glasgow, 2004). She designs and conducts entrepreneurial training programmes in South West Haiti and the Golden Grove Women’s Prison in Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Pemberton is the current President of the Society of Caribbean Industrial Engineers. Her research interests include: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Upgrading, Economic Development in Small Island States and Value Stream Analysis of Indigenous Industries.
