Department of Geography

A Major in ENRM requires successful completion of 12 credits at Level I, and a total of 30 credits at the advanced level (24 credits of core courses, and 6 credits of elective courses).

Elective courses are subject to prerequisite, and can be taken from Level II. Please note that ENRM 1001/1002/1003 and AGSL 1001 are all pre-requisites for the remainder of the ENRM courses. Students cannot proceed in the ENRM programme without passing these courses.

Note: all courses are 3 credits, unless otherwise specified. Core courses are compulsory for completion of a programme; elective courses are optional, but a minimum credit requirement applies for each programme, as detailed here.

ENRM Major Electives

In addition to ENRM 3003, the following out-of-programme courses are approved for selection as electives towards the ENRM Major:

 # NOTE: Students who do not already take one of these courses as part of another Major or Minor programme must select at least one of these courses, or another approved quantitative course. Students cannot select both AGBU 2003 and ARGI 2003 as electives.

NOTE 1: where a course is core in another Major programme, students doing that Major cannot count that course as an elective for the ENRM programme.

NOTE 2: where a course is an elective in another Major programme and is also an elective for the ENRM Major, it may be counted under either programme, but not both.

NOTE 3: students may be permitted to complete an alternative course as an elective, with the approval of the Head, Department of Geography.
