COURSE CODE: COMP 3611
COURSE TITLE: Modelling and Simulation
SEMESTER: 1
CREDITS: 3
PRE-REQUISITES: MATH 2250
COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers basic to intermediate techniques for discrete event simulation of common scenarios. It draws on concepts from the theory of computation and computer programming. In many real world situations, it is infeasible to develop a precise mathematical model with a closed-form analytic solution for a given problem. Modelling and simulation is a means of coping with this type of problem.
