Staff at the Cocoa Centre is divided into several research teams, which specialise in disease management (pathology), food technology, genebank characterisation, genomics and our newest team recruit, cadmium mitigation. These vibrant teams collaborate internally as well as externally with other stakeholders, to achieve some of the finest peer reviewed research in cocoa academia. Recently, the research excellence of the Centre has been captured in a book publication “Achieving sustainable cultivation of cocoa” edited by this Centre’s director, Prof Path Umaharan. This work compiles the most innovative advancements and recent discoveries from the best cocoa scientists across the globe.
