More than 12 years of post-PhD research cumulative teaching experience working in the area of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics and Chemistry/Physics of multifunctional nanomaterials for magnetic and biomedical applications. Worked on different research/academic positions in Brazil, France, Czech Republic, India and Mexico from 2007-2019.

- Basic and applied properties of colloidal magnetic nanocrystals
- Size, shape controlled synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanohybrids
- Study of novel magnetic phenomena in superparamagnetic and complex magnetic nanostructures (core-shell or dumbbell)
- Exchange bias in core-shell nanoparticles
- Surface engineering of multifunctional nanostructures for application in biomedical applications
- Multifunctional nanomaterials including upconversion/downshifting nanoparticles for MRI, hyperthermia and photothermal therapy
